We are pleased to announce our upcoming project.
From May 8th to June 7th, at our gallery in Milan, we will present the exhibition Vuoti e Volumi: Dadamaino & Art Premier.
In this exhibition, works by the radical young artist Dadamaino will coexist with Art Premier sculptures, revealing how two contrasting approaches can come together in perfect aesthetic balance.
Edoarda Maino (1930–2004), known by the artist name Dadamaino, was the only woman among the avant-garde artists on the Milanese scene of the 1950s and ’60s.
She joined Spazialismo, the art movement founded by Lucio Fontana, and focused her research on the exploration of spatial perception, creating minimal and colorless forms.
The rigor of her research is summed up in her statement: “the only way to make art is to produce unsellable works.”
