Dalton Somaré is the only Italian Gallery exhibiting African Art at Brafa Art Fair 2022.
An important Guro mask is among the works that the Italian Gallery Dalton Somaré proposes at BRAFA Art Fair (Sunday 19 to Sunday 26 June 2022 – Brussels Expo), where African Art plays a leading role. As a matter of fact, many collectors look to the Belgian event as the most electrifying moment of the year for the proposals that come from important galleries.
The Dalton Somaré Gallery brings Italy to the list of exhibitors specialized in African and tribal art, thanks to a selection of important 19th-century wooden sculptures from West Africa. Among them, in addition to the Guro mask in wood and pigments with an apical female figure holding the horns of the mask, dating back to the 19th century and coming from the Ivory Coast, a refined and archetypal Baule mask also from the Ivory Coast and a Dogon-N’duleri maternity, Mali, 17th-18th century.
Alongside African art, the 115 exhibitors of the 67th edition of BRAFA Art Fair will be presenting masterpieces of all times and styles.
